photojournalism critique #8
Photo critique #8
On Flickr there is a picture of a girl sitting in a construction concrete tube.
I like how the light frames here. Yes the picture is staged but I really like it.
Its a fun picture and simple.

New Photo Essay Idea
Photo Essay Idea #2
I was planning on taking pictures at the Christmas Bazaar in Portland but I did not go to the Bazaar so instead I plan to take pictures of the civil war celebration taking place on the Oregon State campus. If I don't get good photographs on that then I will take pictures at the Nativity Festival or the Holiday Market. Possibly the Oregon State basketball game as well.

I found a photograph of a rugby match on Flickr and I really like the picture because it shows the action, freezes the players, ball and the emotion. You can clearly see whats going on and imagine what happens next. The photograph in my opinion could be cropped slightly closer, I really like the color and brightness how it is though.

Photo critique #6
Looking on Flickr I saw a photograph that caught my eye. It is of a person in New York who is dressed as a snowball. She is standing next to someone dressed as the statue of Liberty. Its a fun picture and shows color and even though it doesn't show a lot of emotion by looking at their faces its easy to see that both people enjoy what they are doing and seem to be very outgoing people.

Photojournalism critique #5
Photo Critique #5
I found a picture on Flickr that I was instantly drawn to. Its titled "Children's Day at Taj Mahal."
It shows school girls sitting on a wall, they don't have any shoes on. I like how the picture shows
the angle that it does, it makes the line of girls look longer and draws the eye into the photograph.

Photo Critique #4
I found a picture on flickr that was of Jacquizz Rodgers of the Oregon State University football team running the ball. Its a close enough picture that you can see the emotion and the action. I like how he is the main focus of the picture but everyone else around him still is important in telling the story. You can also tell where the picture was taken because the "Home of the Beavers" sign is in the background.

I plan to do my photo essay of the "America's Largest Christmas Bazaar" at the Portland Expo Center. This bazaar goes on during the Thanksgiving break and would leave me with plenty of options for different types of pictures. I want to get pictures of people bonding and interacting, the vendors and people just being together or working.

I found a photo named "pursuit of happiness" on Flickr.com that really attracted my attention.
The scene around the girl gives off the ambiance of a Utopia.
he uses Flickr to share his photographs.
